SHAPE

SHAPE

You have been created by a loving God in a unique and special way.  Nowhere else on the planet or in history is there another of you! You have been made with particular passions, abilities and personality traits that God wants to use to help fulfil his great plan to reach the world with his love. He does not leave this to a few ‘elite’ Christians but wants everyone to play their part.

The SHAPE course aims, across its 6 sessions, to help us understand and celebrate the Missional SHAPE that God has created each of us to be.

The contents of the SHAPE course comes from an acronym of the word SHAPE:

S is for Spiritual gifts

H is for heart’s desires

A is for your abilities

P is for your personality

E is your experience.

As we begin to explore ourselves in each one of these areas, we can better understand God’s calling on our lives and how he wants to use us in mission.

SHAPE sessions are delivered through a variety of elements including videos, group discussions, personal reflections, prayer and more.  They aim to be interactive and require no previous knowledge or study.  We suggest participants be over the age of 14 so that skills of self-reflection have been developed enough to participate but this is a guide rather than a hard and fast rule.  SHAPE can be delivered in small groups, such as a home group, or in larger groups.  Running a SHAPE course requires accessing the SHAPE videos and a workbook for each participant.  Other required resources are very basic or optional and are outlined in the facilitators guide.
